Nice one. I ordered it as a substitute for the curl builder. Finally I like it more as it does not leave residues like the other product

Excellent product, smells great. Order well before you run out as shipping to Canada isn't too speedy.

I really like the product but I don’t love the scent which is why I only gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.

Without the right product, my hair is big and frizzy and puffy but a weird combo of wavy and straight that is hard to deal with. This is the only product I've found that lets me celebrate my big hair without weighing down or drying it out. I love that after sleeping on it I just need to add some water and I can get a lot of good hair days out of one washing.

So far I am pleased with the product. A lot of gels tend to make my hair dry and frizzy.

I really liked the way this product calmed my curls - they looked healthy and springy!

The moisturizing mousse made my hair harder. I was hoping it would still keep it soft as it said moisturizing. I also didn't like the smell of all three products. Unlike my many purchases over the year, these had some chemical-like smell to them. Additionally, it didn't curl up my hair, rather, made it fluffier. I didn't like the result I got. Considering the pricing, I feel like I wasted my money. I would rather buy the products I have been buying all these years like OI All In One Milk (amazing), NOURISHING Keratin Sealer, or Sheer Glaze (no better smell than this product and makes your hair shiny and so smooth).

Product is just okay in my opinion. After washing I tend to use a curl cream and then a mousse, this combination has been working really well for me for years. I originally tried the Davines Curl Building Serum and Curl Mousse and I LOVE both. They work great, so I decided to give the Curl Gel Oil a try and it's not terrible, but I prefer the serum over the gel oil. I find the serum makes my hair glossier and more soft/slippery, whereas the gel/oil seems to have a drying effect. I highly recommend the serum & mousse together, they give my curls a definition & softness that I've never gotten from ANY other product (and I've tried a ton).

I absolutely love this product. It gives my curls definition yet no hard or crunchy bits. The key to using this is that it doesn’t work well as a scrunched in product. It should be smoothed over hair then sections twisted so it dries into well-defined coils. Until my hairdresser explained this I wasn’t a huge fan, but I tried it as she suggested and am now obsessed. I apply a leave in to wet hair and then smooth the gel oil over lengths, do a quick twist of sections and pin up some areas for volume, then voila. Air dried perfection. 10/10

I have 3C porous shoulder length curls with 3B texture spots for fun. I really like the curl serum, it gives great shine and really smooths out my ringlets, but wanted a bit more retention because I can't get a day 2 with it, so I opted to try the gel oil. I suspect that the gel oil is high in protein, as my curls repelled one another and my hair became very frizzy and dry. I tried it with leave in and hair oil with the same results. If your hair can handle protein this might work well for you. It smells wonderful and the consistency is thicker than the curl serum, making application very easy.
