HOLIDAY ORDER & SHIPPING POLICY

Please allow 1-2 business days for orders to be processed and shipped. Orders placed on Friday after 12pm est, Saturday, and Sunday will be processed the following Monday and will ship within the following 2 business days after being processed.

Our orders are shipped from NY, US; all orders should be placed no later than December 6, 2024 in order to receive it before December 24, 2024.

Due to the high volume of packages around the holiday season, We are anticipating carrier delays and recommend adding additional 2-3 days to regular shipping times for orders to be delivered.

Orders placed between November 24, 2024 and December 31,2024 can be returned up to 60 days after the date of purchase in order to receive a full refund or exchange. Please be advised that prior authorization is required on all returns. Return acceptance is at the sole discretion of Davines.

SHIPPING & ORDERS



All orders ship from New York, USA. Please allow 1 business day for all orders to be processed by our warehouse. Orders placed on Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday are processed the following Monday.  

Orders ship within 2 business days after being processed. Once your order ships you will receive tracking information from Landmark Global or DHL. Due to customs delays, all orders can take 4-14 business days in transit. After orders reach Canadian borders your tracking will update with the final shipping carrier and tracking information.

You can choose the preferred payment from Credit Card or PayPal.

To use a promotional code, enter the code in your shopping cart at checkout. If your code has been entered correctly, the amount and / or the contents of the Shopping Cart will be recalculated according to the promotion applied.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

We offer all of our retail products on our site for subscription, excluding Profressional products. When you create a subscription, we will send you the product on a recurring basis at the frequency you.

Our terms and conditions of sale apply to all orders.  

On any product page where we offer a subscription, you can click on the subscription option above the Add to Cart button. You can also select the frequency you want to receive your order on.

For each subscription order, you will receive free standard shipping! Also, by bundling your orders together, you will also help reduce carbon use.

We accept payment via Credit Card and PayPal. We do not accept Klarna as a payment method for subscriptions. 

You can cancel your subscription by logging into your account. To log into your account, click the 'user' icon at the top right corner of the site. If you have not created an account before, create one using the email address that you used to purchase your subscription. Once logged in, you can cancel your account. Any given order needs to be cancelled 24 hours before shipment.

This email will include a link to access the 'My Subscription' section in your account where you can manage your future orders, Subscription items and Subscription account information. We will place your subscription orders automatically according to your selected frequency, and you will only be billed on the day the order is shipped. We will send you an email reminder before each subscription order. 

No, you can have as many subscriptions as you want.

You can make changes to your subscription by logging into your account and clicking the subscription tab on the left side. If you skip an order, your credit card will not be charged.

If the item is out of stock, then the order will not process and you will be notified via email. Once the item is back in stock, you will be notified and the order will process automatically.

If your credit card is declined you will be notified via email. We will retry the credit card after 6 days and if the card is not successful after 6 retries, then the order will be cancelled. You can edit payment information in your account.

E-GIFT CARD

You can buy the E-Gift Card on ca.davines.com
The E-Gift Card will be sent to you via e-mail with all the information needed to use it correctly.

You can only use your E-Gift Card to make purchases on the website ca.davines.com E-Gift Cards will not be accepted at Davines salons.

Your E-Gift Card cannot be used to buy another Gift Card.

The E-Gift Card can be sent to anyone. Please provide recipient’s e-mail address when placing an order for your E-Gift Card.

No, the E-Gift Card has no expiration date.

You can check the balance of your E- Gift Card in the confirmation e-mail, through Apple Wallet or by contacting Davines Customer Service.

You may spend the amount of your E-Gift Card for several different purchases. The amount not spent will remain available on the E-Gift Card.

The E-Gift Card cannot be reloaded.
If the amount on your E-Gift Card is not enough to complete the entire purchase, you will be prompted to use another payment method such as Credit Card, Apple Pay, Paypal.

The E-Gift Card cannot be converted into cash.

If the product purchased was paid for only using the E-Gift Card, the order amount will be provided via store credit that can be used on ca.davines.com

If your order was paid for partially by the Gift Card and partially by another payment method, the amount covered by the E-Gift Card will be provided via store credit and the remaining amount will be refunded to the payment method used at the time of order.

The Bollati family founded Davines in 1983 in Parma, Italy. It originally began as a research laboratory specializing in the manufacture of quality haircare and skincare products for cosmetic companies. The name "Davines" is a combination of the Bollati children's names, Davide andStephania.

All Davines products are designed, formulated and manufactured at our headquarters and laboratories in Parma, Italy.

The pH of Davines products varies according to the product considered. In general, our shampoos have a pH ranging from 5 to 5.8; our conditions from 3.8 to 4.8; our treatments have a pH of approximately 5. If you have any questions about the pH of a specific product, reach out to us at cacontact@davines.us.

Professional size products are not on sale online.

You can. We use food-grade colorants and limited preservatives so it is possible that a product changes color without affecting its performance. 

Davines buys preferably palm oil certified by RSPO (Roundtable of Sustainable Palm Oil), which guarantees that it does not cause environmental damage.

At Davines, “natural origin ingredient” means an ingredient that retains 100% of its naturalness, even after chemical transformation obtained by means of approved processes. This does not include any raw material with a synthetic component.

The “modified natural” definition applies to ingredients that have a natural part combined with a synthetic part.

Synthetic ingredients are those that are completely obtained from synthetic reactions. 

Biodegradability is calculated as the sum of the percentage of rapidly biodegradable raw materials according to the OECD 301 method. This method defines as “rapidly biodegradable” an ingredient that exhibits a degradation of at least 70% over 28 days.

No, our products do not contain parabens.

Many of the products within the Davines portfolio are formulated without silicones, and whenever possible, we consciously choose to avoid or replace them from our formulas.  However, some technical products to be concretely performing require the usage of certain types of silicones, calibrated in specific amounts, that today are difficult to replace for the results that can give to the hair: softness, manageability, and shine. The usage of silicones is safe for hair and human health but is questioned due to its low biodegradability and the consequent impact on the environment. Our commitment is to reduce its usage, so its percentage is calibrated each time to ensure minimum environmental impact and maximum performance on the hair. On top of this, Davines is investing in Research and Innovation to find the best possible alternatives for this category of ingredients in terms of both sustainability and efficacy.

No, our products do not contain sulfates.

All of our products are formulated to be safe for color treated hair. Our best products to protect your color treatment are the MINU family, of Essential Haircare products.

Some Davines formulations contain alcohol, because it acts as a solubilizer to increase the penetration of active ingredients, to solubilize the resins in styling products, to make products lighter on the hair and to facilitate drying. If formulas are well-balanced they will not damage the hair shaft.

No, Davines products do not contain nanomaterials.

Yes, we use minimal amounts of preservatives in our products to protect the integrity of the formula. Our products are designed to be used in salons and showers and need to be protected when exposed to water. We use food grade preservatives where possible.

SHIPPING

On average, you will receive your purchase within 4-16 business days of your order being processed. Orders received on Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday are processed the following Monday. Delivery times may vary in cases of things like severe weather. 


After being shipped you will receive tracking information within 48-72 via email once it hits Canadian post.

Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on your location. For all orders over $75, shipping is free.

We currently only ship within Canada from our Canadian site.
