We’re excited to launch a new in-salon recycling program with Green Circle Salons. Starting this September, our container recycling pilot program launches with 37 Davines salons across the United States. Our Take Back Boxes provide Davines guests with an easy way to recycle their difficult to recycle Davines packaging at their salon and ensures that the returned empties are given another life. Next time you visit one of these salons, be sure to remember your empty hairsprays, mask pouches, and dark plastics for easy recycling!
We know so many of you are already recycling at home and keeping our planet beautiful. However, some packaging is more challenging to recycle than others and we want you to have full confidence that all of your Davines products are recycled correctly. Bringing empty aerosols, combined materials, and dark plastics to a Take Back Box makes a big difference because we can ensure they are given another life through proper sorting and recycling with Green Circle Salons and their partners.
Davines container recycling is available in 37 Sustainable Beauty Partner salons.

Designed for packaging which is harder to recycle locally, these boxes are designed for our retail products such as aerosols, dark plastics or combined materials. Below is a comprehensive list of which products fall into these categories. And, remember to keep the caps on your products so they get recycled too!
Combined Materials
Dark Plastics
Aerosols
Once your salon’s Take Back Box is full, it is shipped back to Green Circle Salons where the products are sorted by material and sent to a recycling partner who will use the packaging to create something new, like pots for trees.
Davines product packaging is developed with a strategy focused on sustainability. We design for recyclability and simplicity using mono-materials and minimal labels. We also minimize the raw materials needed and continually increase the use of recycled and biobased materials. You can read more about our approach to sustainable packaging on our Transparency page.
Right now, this program is in the pilot or testing phase. If you’re a Davines salon interested in learning more about the program in the future, sign up for updates with your name and email below!
