Hair Styling Hacks For Thinning Hair

For those of us with finer-than-fine locks, a thick head of hair is at the top of our wish list. We’ve got good news for thin-haired-girls: you don't have to be born with tons of hair to rock a full, bouncy mane. If you’ve got limp, lackluster locks but crave the look of fuller hair, we have the hair styling hacks to help you fake it in minutes.

1. Condition before you shampoo

Conditioning before you shampoo is great for adding nourishment to fine hair without weighing it down. It also promotes a longer lasting blow dry and primes the hair before cleansing, allowing shampoo to distribute easier and more evenly. The Naturaltech line a complete program that targets hair and scalp problems while bridging sustainable beauty practices with cutting edge technology. Condition first withReplumping Conditioner, rinse thoroughly and follow up withEnergizing Shampoo.

2. Use dry shampoo

Dry shampoo is a great texturizer, adding grip and volume to your hair. Spray someHair Refresher on your roots to delete grease (which can make your hair look even thinner) and uplift your look. And if you’re a blonde, dry shampoo isn’t just for waking up second and third day strands. It’s also the quickest way to create a fuller appearance at your crown. Spray some directly on exposed parts and thin hairlines.

3. Tease your tresses

Back-combing (also known as teasing) is a classic way to get more volume at your crown. Lift a section of hair just behind the very top of your head, and with a pintail comb push in three to five smooth even strokes from the middle of the hair to the base, creating a cushion. Next, take the section of hair just in front of the cushion and flip back and over. This will hide the teased portion and leave you with smooth height and instant fullness.

4. Add some waves

Pin-straight fine hair tends to lay flat against your head. For instant body and a tousled beachy look try styling hair withThis Is A Sea Salt Spray. Adding texture will almost double the density of fine hair. If you already have wavy hair, embrace and enhance your bends with products from theLove Curl line.

 5. Switch your part

Changing the spot where you normally part your hair is one of the easiest ways to get the look of thicker locks (not to mention it’s an instant update on your look). After years of parting your hair to the same side, it essentially becomes trained to lay limp. Flipping your part creates volume and fullness because you’re taking the hair out of its natural fall. Try switching things up and you’ll be amazed at the instantaneous lift.

6. Brighten your hue

When your hair is dull it appears thinner. Adding a deeper hue to your 'do will also give you dimension, making limp locks appear fuller. TheAlchemic System is a color enhancing line of shampoos and conditioners. Brighten up your blonde, brunette or red strands in just one application.

Add these hair styling hacks into your beauty game and give your limp locks the volume they’ve been yearning for!
