Since our founding in 1983, Davines has seen a lot of changes: what began as a small family research lab has grown into an international corporation certified by B Corp.
But through it all, we've remained a family-owned business dedicated to creating beautiful haircare products that keep environmental impact and sustainability in mind.

100% of the energy we use to manufacture our products in Parma, Italy is renewable.
81% of paper and cardboard packaging is made from recycled materials.
100% of our product packaging is carbon neutral through our EthioTrees reforestation partnership.
80% of our ingredients are organically certified, natural or modified natural.
60% of all packaging (primary, secondary and tertiary) is made from recycled materials.
44% of plastic packaging is made from either bio-based or recycled materials.
In 2016, the Davines Group officially became a certified B Corporation. Getting this certification is a big deal — essentially it means that our company is meeting their very high standards of performance across all areas, from employee wellbeing, to environmental impact and sustainability of materials used.
Because of this, we adhere to the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility and transparency. After becoming certified in 2016, we decided to align our company objectives with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) defined in the 2030 UN Agenda — this helped guide our decisions on what new objectives and projects we should be focusing on. And for the second year in a row, B Lab has named us a 2019 Best For The World: Environment honoree. We look at business as a positive force capable of generating profit, while at the same time creating a virtuous impact on people and the environment.
